Manoranjan Banerjee (Lebong Action )
Born 1915, Dacca, Bangladesh. S/O Late Lalit Mohan Banerjee. Arrested in connection with Lebong Action. Trying court, special tribunal sentenced him to death. Commuted by High Court to life term. Deported to Andamans. Participated in the second hunger strike in Cellular Jail in1937 for 37 days. Released on 31st August 1946. Total jail period 13 years.
Lok Nath Ball (Chittagong Armoury Raid Case and Jalalabad Battle )
Born 1907 at Dharla, Boalkhali, Chittagong, Bangladesh. S/O late Pran Krishna Ball. He was a graduate student and youth leader. One of the chief leaders of the Armoury Raid and commander of Jalabad Battle with military forces on 22.04.1930. Arrested in 1926 under ordinance. Joined the second hunger strike in Cellular Jail in1937 for 37 days and another one in Alipore Central jail in 1939 for 36 days. Repatriated 1938 January. Released 31st August 1946. Total jail period 18 years.
Sudhindra Nath Bhattacharjee (Bogura Postal Action and North Bengal Conspiracy Case )
Born 25.08.1910, Sagarpara, rajshahi town, Bangladesh, s/o Late Chandra Nath Bhattacharya. Joined Jugantar Party at the age of 17. Civil disobedience in 1930 for 3 months. Arrested in connection with Bogura Postal Action in North Bengal Conspiracy in Calcutta on 14.01.1934 and sentenced to 5 years R.I. awarded. Another 9 months in Alipore jail for hunger strike. Deported to Cellular Jail. Released in 1938 from Alipore Central Jail on medical grounds. Total jail period 6 years.
Saroj Kumar Bose (Hilli Action )
Born at Dinajpur, Bangladesh on 01.03.1915. s/o Ananda Mohan Basu. Joined the Anusheelan Party at an early age. Was an I.S.C. student. Arrested on 29.10.1933. in connection with the Hilli Action . He was given the death sentence. This was commuted to 10 years prison on appeal. Participated in the second hunger strike. Repatriated in January 1938. Took part in another hunger strike in July 1939. released in May, 1942 but rearrested at the jail gate as a security prisoner. Released in September 1945. Total jail period about 12 years.
