S/o Manoranjan Ghosh, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Sent up in Alipore Explosive Act Case. Sentenced on 3rd November 1930. Deported to Cellular Jail in 1032. Repatriated in 1937.
Samarendra Ghosh (ManickgunjMail Action)
Born 31.01.1915, Bankhuri, Manikgunj, Dacca, Bangladesh s/o Narendra Ghosh Talukdar. When 14 years of age joined revolutionary party. Matriculated and arrested in May 1933 in connection with Manickgunj Mail Action Case and convicted to 7 years R.I. Deported to Cellular jail. Participated in second hunger strike there . Repatriated in 1938 and released in 1939. Remained interned under Govt. order for 38 months in 1940. Thereafter went underground during the war years. Total jail period more than 7 years.
Niranjan Sen Gupta (Mechuabazar Bomb Case)
Born 1902 , Barisal, Bangladesh, s/o Late Sarbananda Sengupta . Joined Anusheelan Samity in 1921. A student leader, organiser of All India Students Conference. Elected Secretary of the first Student's Union of Krishnanath College- Berhampur. Was sent there to organise Anusheelan Samity. As a B.Sc. student arrested under B.C.L.A. in 1925. Released in 1928. Arrested for Mechubazar Bomb Case on 19.12.1929. Sentenced to 7 years transportation. Deported to Andamans. One of the participants of the hunger strike of May 1933. Repatriated in 1939. Total jail period more than 10 years.
Sushil Das Gupta (Rangpur Action Case)
S/o Mohini Dasgupta , Rangpur, Bangladesh. While a student of Rajshahi College got injured during action at Rajshahi and became unconscious. Later taken to hospital and then sentenced to 6 years imprisonment in the year 1932 . Deported to Andamans in August 1932. Repartriated during 1937-38. In the year 1947, communal riots broke out in Bengal as a result of partition, was leading a peace misson at park circus area in Calcutta whenstabbed to death and courted martydom.
